Stakeholder engagement

The UK needs 50% more graduates in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) subjects. And only 8% of engineers are women.

I work with students and the media to address this; however we need to engage with our Institutions and policy makers to influence wide-spread change. In order to achieve this, I have been working with the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE), Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). I've attended conferences and networking events with like-minded professionals and sat on a panel at the House of Lords to discuss diversity in STEM.

I am on the founding board for the 'Your Life' campaign, and am working with the Department for Education to encourage more students to study maths and physics A-levels.
